Joseph Thomas "Joe" Surprenant
Joseph Thomas "Joe" Surprenant, 27, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 2, 2009. Born June 23, 1981, in Lowell, he was a son of Maribeth (Wright) Surprenant-Landry of Lowell, and David R. Surprenant of Deering, NH. He was educated in the local schools, and formerly employed as a landscaper for the City of Lowell Housing Authority. Mr. Surprenant was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, and when he wasn't spending time with his family or working on cars, he enjoyed online gaming and was a member of the SO-Squad, and internet gaming group specializing in map building for the game Black Hawk Down. In addition to his mother, Maribeth, and her husband, Scott Landry, and his father, David Surprenant, and his wife, Mary, he is survived by a sister, Dawnmarie Dube and her boyfriend, Pedro Tavares, of Lowell; three brothers, David R. Surprenant Jr. and his fiance, Brenda Gagne, of Lowell, Christopher L. Surprenant of Lowell, and Eric R. Surprenant and his girlfriend, Sheila Fifer, of Lowell; his girlfriend, Heather Scales, of Lowell; a niece, Crystal Tavares of Lowell; two nephews, Pedro M. Tavares Jr. of Lowell, and David R. Surprenant III of Lowell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was the grandson of the late Thomas and Isabel Wright, and the late Joseph and Irene Surprenant.
